I’m having some issues with my body. Started with a feeling that something didn’t feel right, cramping/discomfort when not on period, minor irritation, unable to comfortably have sex or use tampons things like that. Have had blood tests and drs said all ok. Also had an ultrasounds including internal, showed some large follicles suspected pcos but nothing has been said further about that. I believe as I didn’t have many other symptoms for pcos/blood tests ok. I pushed for more info because these things don’t come from no where, must be some underlining issue. So they’ve looked back at results saying slightly concerned that I’m not ovulating. Since then the original minor symptoms have gone apart from occasional cramping/discomfort at random times in cycle, that aren’t normal for me, and my period is more irregular and getting later each month.
My daughter is 19 months old and she was conceived following 1 round of IVF. Everything went as smoothly as it could and we had to have IVF/ICSI because my partner had a vasectomy. Basically I luckily had no issues with fertility prior to this. I was an absolute mess with the IVF process and medication but my pregnancy was amazing. My waters broke at 35 weeks and my daughter was born healthy via c-section at 36 weeks.
I’ve never had a follow up from the fertility clinic we used, they weren’t great throughout the whole process tbh. I never had a proper follow up from the C-section apart from a senior nurse asking me if my scar “looked normal”.
I’m waiting for a gynaecologist referral to look more into my issues but I’m just curious has anyone had a similar situation to this? Could it be down to IVF messing with my body when I was fertile to begin with? The pregnancy? The C-section? All of it or just Mother Nature?
Apologies if this is wrong place to post this. I understand how sensitive a subject infertility and IVF is. I am very extremely grateful for my daughter and know how lucky I am to have her. I wish everyone going through IVF all the love and best of luck. My heart goes out to those who have more than 1 cycle it is TOUGH! X

Hi this sounds like secondary infertility. I would ask for another scan to confirm whether there are follicles on your ovaries and for a hormone panel to confirm PCOS. If you’re not ovulating there is probably an underlying hormonal imbalance.
I wouldn’t think it was directly related to having IVF.
The pain could be related to giving birth/ having a c section.
Did they look into why your waters went so early?
I have PCOS, just had my rainbow IVF baby and have an “incompetent cervix” which caused my second trimester loss with my first IVF pregnancy.
