Chemical Pregnancy and Missed Miscarriages

In June I had a missed miscarriage. No bleeding, cramps that felt like normal early stages of cramping and back pain. Things consistent with being pregnant. So I was none the wiser. We started trying again recently, I think I have now had a chemical pregnancy. I haven't tested positive to a test, however, no period. Some light bloating and gassy. I've now had very clear jelly like discharge, which occurred during my missed miscarriage.
Contacted drs to get a ultrasound to confirm things.
I want to know how many people have missed Miscarriages or chemical pregnancies, that have no idea!? No bleeding, everything goes unnoticed.

I had a chemical pregnancy first, I was knowingly pregnant for 3 days. 2 positive tests and then the worst most painful period life, but at the time I just put it down to dodgy tests as my ‘period’ was only like 5 days late. It was only went I was going through a missed miscarriage that I realised it was a chemical pregnancy.

With my missed miscarriage, I knew before it was going to happen. I went to a private ultrasound at 10 weeks on the dot because I’d been feeling so so shit and my nhs scan wasn’t until nearly 13 weeks, I opted to wait for my body to do it naturally and it did it at 11w 6day. But based off measurements they stopped growing around 7/8 weeks so my body took 3/4 weeks to realise it was no longer growing, but my body was showing all the signs of pregnancy in those 2 weeks where I knew it wasn’t viable anymore, and that was shit.

Thanks for your reply.
Helps a little. It's all so confusing. I've had 2 negative tests, but no period and the "jelly" I mentioned. So I'm not sure if I was pregnant at all, or just an irregular period. I also don't know whether to just leave it and wait for it to happen naturally, but if it is there and gone I dont want it making me sick.

Definitely confusing, the ultrasound will tell you what is most likely going on, it’s crap when all you can do is wait.

I opted for naturally because I’d been wanting a baby for 2 years and I it had finally happened but I’d ’failed’ at it and I wanted to feel the pain. It took me 6 months to even think about being physically and mentally ready to start trying again after as we had been trying for over a year.

I’ve just had a baby and the missed miscarriage did ruin pregnancy as a whole for me, I was never able to enjoy it and constantly thinking ‘what if’. We had lots of extra ultrasound to make sure she was still doing ok in there tho and it helped massively.

Try not to be too hard on ourself so early on, Even just trying for a baby is so mentally and physically taxing and not talked about enough in society.

Have you restested? I’ve had two chemicals and both times the tests gradually got lighter and eventually got negatives and then bleeding. Your CM actually increases with pregnancy, so I don’t think you can go off this alone?

The only way you can confirm it was in fact a chemical pregnancy is through a pregnancy test or blood test. If it’s negative, you are not pregnant and probably an irregular period.

I had a missed miscarriage (at 10 weeks). My symptoms before were brown spotting and severe lower back pain. I had a normal period then a chemical pregnancy at 5 weeks. This was confirmed by a pregnancy test that gradually got lighter and a blood test until it was negative then started spotting/had what was like a very heavy period.

The jelly like discharge could be completely normal and not indicate pregnancy at all. If you are having spotting and cramping, those are more common signs of miscarriage.

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
