16+4 week NHS reassurance scan - gender still not clear. Intrigued to hear your thoughts 💗💙

Today I went for an NHS reassurance scan at 16+4 days. They said they are 70% sure it’s a girl and said they saw no obvious signs of baby being a boy. I don’t mind either way but would love to know your guys thoughts on what you think the gender is of my baby! I saw the potty shot and there were the 3 lines which I think means girl. I feel they just didn’t want to say for certain…

I’d say a girl 💕

If they couldn’t 100% say then yea they didn’t want to tell you one thing and have it be another. Try to get back in there in two weeks!! Or do one of the blood tests for genetic differences and gender if they’re not super expensive. Mine was free.

Judging by what I can see as well as skull I’ll say girl tho as well.

How did you get a 16 weeks reassurance scan? Do you need to ask for it? I’d love to have one too, I’m so worried as I don’t feel the baby, don’t think my belly is growing… I also had 3 miscarriages previously, so not sure I could ask for a scan before the 20 weeks one?

I’m thinking to get a sneak peak test or something to triple check! I feel I can’t wait 4 weeks until my next scan 😂 so inpatient! X

I’m through a high-risk clinic for this pregnancy so have been given scans every few weeks. There is no harm in asking for a reassurance scan, they may well let you have one to ease your anxiety, especially with what you’ve been through in the past 🤍

you can pay privately for these sort of scans and they’ll usually check gender in UK they can tell you from about 15/16 weeks! I’ve had two gender scans and they’ve been correct both times at 16 weeks. Also if your placenta is at the front you may not feel movements for a while so try not too worry. I’ve also had a miscarriage so I understand being concerned, if your really worried you can always ring your midwife/ gp and tell them xx

That’s a lovely round little head, so skull theory would suggest girl 💕

Help

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

Labour??

I’ve had on/off mild period cramps since 9 last night, very irregular and very mild, but I just had one that woke me up. My waters haven’t gone and nor has my mucous plug… but could this be a sign that it’s close?! I’m 40+3 and desperate to meet her!

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?

Groin pain?

So I’m 34 weeks with my second and for a couple days now I’ve had terrible groin pain so bad that sometimes I can’t even walk or shift a certain way or I feel like the baby is just gonna rip out of my groin… I definitely was uncomfortable towards the end with my last pregnancy but this is just absolutely awful. Is anyone else experiencing this? Or anything that helps?? It’s making it so hard to still care for a toddler when I can barely move without pain..
