20 month old climbing out of crib

Anyone else at this point?? Idk what to do. Everything says “keep them in a crib as close to 3yo as possible bc they are way to young otherwise for a toddler bed” but then also says, if they climb out they need to be in a bed or other floor and gives no other help. We transitioned the crib to a toddler bed Sunday night and it was a disaster so we went back to the crib but with a sleep sack and it worked until tonight when I walked out of the baby’s room (he was laying in the crib) took three steps away and heard a thud bc he’d climbed over the railing in the sleep sack and hit the floor. (He’s fine!) I’m currently holding him snoozing in the recliner but this is obviously not helpful long term.. but neither is any advice I’ve found from all these sites about baby sleep 😭😭 anyone else here and so torn and struggling?!

(Sorry for typos- typing at a funny angle over sleeping baby and trying to just get this out!)

Hi! Is your crib at the lowest setting it can go?

If so, I’ve heard if some moms putting a cover over the crib! However I know the toddler bed is an option but it can take a few weeks for them to get use to it, so if you go that route I’d baby proof as much as possible and use knob covers so they can’t escape

it is 😭 it’s been lowered for longer than I can remember. Friends suggested putting it all the way to the floor but with our crib there will be too much of a gap so not an option. I’ve seen the covers but I think those would give us more of a problem than anything. Just hoping for the best here! We baby proofed the crap out of everything so that should be okay and have a gate in the hallway so if he gets out the only place he can go is our room. We’ll see I guess!! Haha ahhhh 😅😂

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Combi feeding advice

Has anyone gone from EBF to combi feeding? Currently do one bottle of EBM per night and they one half formula half breast milk mixed in the day. The other times she still feeds on me. Ideally I want to feed all day via bottle and all night with breast. She’s 7 weeks and takes a bottle well, how long should I leave it before adding another bottle to her daily routine?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰
