Cervical Checks?

I'm not getting any until I'm at or past my due date. From what I know, they aren't too great of an indicator of labor as you can be 3/4cm for weeks before active labor hits

In the UK, they don’t do them at all unless you have suspected preterm labour, are in labour or you’re past full term. They’re not necessary.

i didn’t have any until actually in labour. before labour it’s not a accurate indication of how soon labour may begin nor does it really change anything by finding out how dilated you are, so personally just didn’t see the point!

I declined early checks bc they aren’t really an indicator of anything beyond dilation in that moment and every check gives opportunity for bacteria to be introduced down there so I avoided them until I was actually in labor.
