How’s cosleeping going for you guys?

He’s 8 months & I’ve always did half & half since he was born. A little time in basinet/ crib to start off bedtime then middle of the night I would bring him in the bed with me because it would be a task to get him to go back down peacefully. & then I started to notice he was just in our bed ALL the time within the last month! Recently this past week me & my husband has been on top of transitioning to sleep training not only for bed time but started with naps. Basically let him soothe himself to sleep instead of having to constantly rock him. Then at bed time we give him some cuddles & love before transitioning to his crib where he can begin self soothing with a bottle. He’s doing so well going to sleep on his own (he sometimes can be whinny but it doesn’t last long). & if he does wake up throughout the night which is usually like 2 times well just lay him back down & give him a bottle or a light rock until he doze back off. I’m proud of us ! Especially me because I’m so weak for his cry lol but we’re finally getting out bed back to ourselves & I love that for our relationship. I’m not saying baby boy will never sleep in bed with us but the goal is to create healthy & easy boundaries when it comes to sharing our bed. He’s a baby so if he wants to sleep with mommy & daddy sometimes we don’t mind AT ALL but when we want to lay out comfortably without a moving infant then we know he can comfortably rest in his crib with no problem because of his sleeping training habits . It’s off to a really good start so hoping for more positive progress!

I think your approach is pretty good!
Kudos because mine is still in the bed with us😭. Laying on top of my stomach as I’m typing.

Mainly his self soothing is when I don’t want him on my breast just to have it in his mouth. He will fuss for a few mins . After that he’s fine.
I have yet to get him in his bed. His dad doesn’t mind him in the bed. He’s the one who told me let him sleep with me. So I didn’t have anxiety in the beginning. Baby just flops all over the place.

One day he may sleep in his own bed but idk when that will Be.

He sleeps nap wise with us or alone in our bed. He knows how to climb off the bed and crawl to us

take your time! Whatever works for you continue to keep that going. As long as your creating healthy boundaries! There is no right way to do it!

Baby boy sleeps wild & moves ALOT I don’t have bed barriers either so I want to avoid him falling off the bed too! We bought a king size bed right before he was born for cosleeping but the funny part is the bed is HUGE but I’m still sleeping at the very edge of my side because the little human sleeps like a 300 lb grown man 😂 I value my sleep now adays so if he’s content & not crying (because I’m weak for the cry ) the crib it is!

The bed barrier is definitely a good thing to have. I got it at 4 months, because he was interested in jumping off of stuff at that age.
However maybe you might have to move the mattress to the floor

Or put a catch mattress on the floor. That’s what we did before getting the rail

Creating a boundary is something I have to look into. Because this boobie monster only knows FIND THE BOOB

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
