How to make baby’s clothing smell good?

Hey all! So I started nesting and washing my baby girls stuff, using all free and clear. Everything comes out with no smell at all. I know it’s better and safer but is there any way to make her clothing have at least a little bit of a nice smell? Maybe essential oil in a drying wool ball? Any recommendations? Brands? I don’t want to use Dreft.

Diffuser is an essential oils blowing over stack of baby clothes? I think when baby comes, you’ll be obsessed with smelling your baby without their smell being masked by perfumes.

Essential oils can be hard on the sensitive skin of a newborn, especially if it’s a newborn with skin issues. Dreft is one of the best options for baby clothes, as someone with very sensitive skin I know my baby will be more prone to sensitive skin. Fabric softeners or essential oils would not be recommended for sensitive newborn skin. Do you mind explaining why you don’t want to use Dreft?

Maybe a sachet of lavender in whatever drawers you are using to store baby clothes?

I wouldn’t add anything for smell! it can really irritate their skin. once your baby starts wearing the clothes it all starts to get the nice newborn baby smell that everyone loves anyway lol 😌

@Briana yesss and im obsessed with the soft clean smell of dreft on my 18m old clothing stilll...so ill be using it with this baby too
