Little one is 7 months next week.
He used to sleep through but for the past 3/4 weeks he’s been waking up 2/3 times and having a feed. We’ve started weaning and this week we’ve tried breakfast and dinner to see if it’s hunger but he’s still woken just the same.
He only really cat naps during the day as well so don’t feel like he’s getting enough sleep.
He has just started to cut a tooth which has taken forever to come through.
Any suggestions???

My almost 7 month old is the same.. has your little one learned a new skill like sitting or crawling? Or is learning to? If so it could be a sleep regression… teething will definitely be playing a part too. Have you tried giving him some calpol to see if he settles after that? He could be in some pain which is waking him… or it could be a new habit xx
he is sitting more. I did wonder if it was a regression as we seemed to miss the 4 month one.
Hoping it isn’t a new habit… I’m back to work next week 😂🙈xx

It’s a worry isn’t it! I’m meant to be returning to work in Jan and my baby wakes 2/3 times a night too.. I work 12 hour shifts at the hospital and genuinely have No idea how I will function with No sleep 😴😴 xx
that’s a long old day at the best of times without the lack of sleep! I’m a teacher so think I might have to work out a way to not make so many mistakes due to tiredness 😂xx

My 6.5 month is doing the same. She is waking up multiple times now and wants a feed. She doesn't eat much in terms of solids but I offer her two meals. I'm pretty sure it's teething but she is also trying to work out crawling so could be a mixture

The thing is it’s normal for a baby to wake for milk feeds in the night because I get up to 30% of the calorie intake at that time equally babies sleep pattern is forever changing with the clocks having gone back over the weekend. I’ve noticed my little one is up earlier because in her head she still thinks it’s 630.

Similar here to Suchi, and just figure they’re going through a lot!

There’s a sleep regression I’ve read it last for two weeks then they go back. Normal for babies to wake up several times before 12 months

That’s reassuring to know it’s sleep regression and linked to learning new skills. My little one is desperately trying to crawl, working in sitting and just so busy taking in the world! Sooo hope she starts sleeping more than 3 hours at a time soon!
