Contact nap only 12 week old

Looking for some reassurance - are there any mammas out there that have had a baby that won’t sleep in their crib/only contact naps during the day and has successfully moved past this? And if so how did it happen? I’m really hoping this is just a phase.. ://

I’m grateful that he’ll sleep in his crib by himself at night fine, and I do love the cuddles, but I’m just worried he won’t grow out of this

Yes we were the same. I managed to get him in his cot for naps at 7 months.
I just gave it a go one day when I was feeling patient.

Yes - we moved past this I’d say before he hit 4 months. On days where I had the energy I would put him down for at least 1 nap in his cot. I would rock the cot and sing to him - sometimes it would take half an hour 🤯 but it is all worth it in the end. I think that being out and about some days where he would have to fall asleep in his pram helped him be able to sleep on his own too.

We only contact naps for 4 months. The other day I randomly tried in the crib for the first nap of the day and she slept for 45 mins. She’s now done this 3 times with no problem. I took this as reassurance she can do it and am back to contact napping because I want to make the most of the cuddles!

Don’t worry- they don’t do it forever! X

I contact napped til my LO was 9months old hd to break the cycle when I was going back to work, MIL made it hard but I persevered it will work just give it time x

We contact napped during the day until recently, LO is 6 months. She now will have some naps in her crib and some in the pushchair. Some are still contact naps coz we both love the cuddles. X

I've just managed to get my little one to sleep in his crib, I noticed he was getting sleepy so I popped him into his sleep sack in his crib, put the white noise on and put my hand on his tummy. He then put himself to sleep 🙂 I'm definitely going to miss the contact naps but it's nice being able to actually get things done

I ve been contact napping for about 10-11 months. I still start naps with my 13 months old but now I can easily escape from it.

We contact napped until 13 months when my son was dropping to one nap and too big to hold for 2+ hours 😅 Don't get me wrong, it was also my choice to go that long as I enjoyed the cuddles, but we did have to do a bit of minor sleep training in the end to help him be able to sleep on his own without so much reliance on me/the boob/rocking etc.

I did contact naps until about 5 months. Then I did sleep training because I was starting to go crazy.

This is my situation and thought process at the moment. Only contact naps during the day but yes nights thankfully does sleep in the cot x
Since yesterday had started sleeping first nap of the day 30-45mins set down next to me but not in his cot.

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
