6 week appointment

When I went for my sons 6 week check up the doctors mostly focused on the baby but did ask you questions about your scar like if you were worried or if it's healing properly and so if you did have concerns they could have a look for you

With the baby check up they will ask you to undress her so they can check up on her whole body and then weigh her if it's been a time between then and your last HV

As a fellow csection mumma I have never been checked. I also didn’t get my twins 6 week appointment until they were over 10 weeks old which was ridiculous

oh wow that's terrible with my C-section I had it checked when they were doing the heel prick test and then at 6 weeks check asked if I had any concerns or if I wanted them to have a look

we were severely let down by our HV and doctors almost 2 years on and HV is non existent so sad. I tried to make a complaint but wasnt successful

I had to book a separate appointment for them to check me after my section as it's not something they "offer" anymore 🤦‍♀️ so the 6 week check for baby will just be the doctor checking heart rate, breathing rate and hips but also if you have a boy they usually check the testicles, my LB also got weighed by the HV while we were there so just have a spare nappy ready to go just incase

They booked two appointments for us one for the baby one for me. Baby will be checked from head to toe. Do mention if you saw any new marks on her body. They checked my blood pressure, I requested some tests as I used to take medication before the pregnancy. Also feel free to mention any kind of issues that you are dealing with! Make a list before you go so you can remember everything ❤️
