I need help with sleep massively.. 11 month old still not sleeping through, wakes up so many times screams and crying for hours on end and I’m knackered. Due to go back to work next week and I feel broken 😫😫😫 he can’t stay asleep. Put him down literally 2mins ago and already woken. I can’t do this anymore

Have you ruled out any health issues? Could he be teething?

and what do I do on that instance? I do teething gel, I give him calpol before he sleeps to help take edge off, I feed him. We’re up for hours

How’s the rest of his day looking in regards to wake times and naps etc? Anything new development wise? Totally normal for little ones not to be sleeping though at this age btw :) x

I mean he hasn’t had a nap yet as he slept from 8-11 this morning after being up all night. Teeth maybe coming through and he looks poorly 🫠

ah bless him! It’s crap when they’re ill :( I’d wait for it to pass before having a look then! X

We went through a stage with our 7 month old like this. His turned out to be trapped wind/ gas. It went away after giving him infacol before every feed for 1 week. It also came back eveytime we went up a teat size. Slowing down feeding, taking breaks, 15 minutes upright after feeds helped. Also putting soemthing warm on his tummy until it passed. After we got over this, we used the Pampers smart sleep coach app to get us in a routine (we used the free trail then cancelled) but found that useful too. Hopefully you get to the bottom of it soon. Xx

have a look at this and see if any of it resonates

It may just be the teething, but that should only really cause 2-3 days of sleep disturbance. How long has this been going on for?

Could be his iron? Our 15mo has slept terribly (hourly wakes) and we’ve finally found out he’s iron deficient which is a huge cause of sleep disruption.

how do you check their iron levels?

blood test

couple of weeks 🫠

Has he always been a bad sleeper? How many times a night is he waking? Has he recently dropped a nap? Start with sleep hygiene first- keep a sleep diary and see if any patterns emerge. X
