I got my 12 week scan today. It was supposed to be a happy day. It started off being nice seeing the baby moving around and took a downhill when we were told the fluids were measuring at 3.7mm. I have another scan on Monday with the doctors. Nurse for blood tests were saying my blood test will most likely show high risk as well. Is that the case?
I’ve been reading other people’s experiences to manage my expectations. I was wondering, could a blood test come low risk or is it likely that it ll come as high risk due to my NT result? I know it is only 20% chance so 70-80% chance that there is nothing wrong but it really feels like zero at the moment.
Love to everyone going through difficulty in their journey ❤️

They most likely will come back high risk but that’s not certain, my friends baby had an NT of 8.8mm and although her bloods combined came back high risk for Down’s syndrome they came back low risk for Edward’s/Pataus so it really does just depend x
They came back 1 in 7 chance of down syndrome to confirm so I did a cvs test today. Hopefully will learn in 3 days 😔
