Can you use loop earplugs when you have a baby?

My baby is 12 weeks old and he's such n active sleeper n is constantly making noise all night and if not him it's my husband who snores so loudly n so does my dog and we all share 1 room n I'm in the middle of husband and baby so no matter which way I face there is a loud irritating noise. My baby sleeps through the night so I should be sleeping to but I can't because every sleeps so loudly. I was looking a loop earplugs to cancel out the noise but is this unsafe to do with the baby, I'm not sure how noise cancelling they are and I'm worried that if he cries or something bad happens I won't hear it but at the same time I'm gonna cry because I haven't had a good night's sleep forever. Anyone got the quiet loop earplugs and a baby. Any advice in general is appreciated

I don’t have advice for the loops but I usually use my AirPods with some music in at low volume (just enough to barely hear hubby snore) and only put it one at a time since I’m a side sleeper I’ll have it in one whichever side isn’t in the pillow, that way if baby cries I’ll still hear it muffled through the pillow and AirPod.

plus they usually fall out of my ears 10 minutes later so I’m able to fall asleep and stay asleep (active sleep and snoring don’t wake me up but they don’t let me fall asleep) and then have full capability to hear any crying

I love my loops. You can still hear but its not as loud. They help so much with just everything. I can't see why not. As long as you find them comfy to sleep in or whatever

Not sure on the loops but with my dog being a very loud snorer and baby being an active sleeper i just use my AirPods and i still hear him cry when he wakes for a feed

I used my loops. They don’t cancel the noise, they just dull it. So you’ll hear cries but not snuffles and smaller sleep noises xx

My husband bought me a headphone headband. It's so comfortable. I listen to audiobooks when falling asleep. Helps quiet my anxiety. I could still hear baby boy crying.

I use loops at night, was anxious to do so at first but now i can actually get some sleep 😅 youre still alert and can hear them but just a bit duller so you can sleep 💜

I sleep with one ear plug in (the ear facing upwards) and I always still hear baby :)

I wouldn’t wear the quiet ones. I wear those to sleep when it’s my turn to sleep in and don’t even wake when my toddler is shouting. I would feel more comfortable using the engage ones because they just muffle the noise

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?
