Is it normal for 1 year old to hit themselves in the head near their ears

I dont know what it is but my little girl also hits herself on the head and near the ear when she’s frustrated. I thought maybe she picked it up at the daycare from some other baby but I also worry why she does this. Hope it’s a normal part of development. I also want to know how to stop it..

My little boy does this sometimes, I tell him no and grab his hand. I have no idea why he does this tho.. It's not everyday most of the time if he does something bad and I tell him off he will hit his head near ears
