I breastfed and pumped for my twins until they were 7 months. The day they turned 7 months I gave them their first bottle of formula and fully weaned them off my boob by 8 months.

Life hacks (do your own research, some of these are controversial):

Nursing: use a haaka if you don’t tandem feed so you have extra milk to give in a bottle without having to spend the time pumping

Pumping: fridge hack and having multiple sets. I had 3 sets of parts and washed them every 24 hours so each set was getting used twice before washing.

Have a ridiculous amount of bottles and wash them in the dishwasher every night. My top rack is always full of baby stuff but it all gets cleaned once a day and we have enough for 24 hours so I’m never having to wash in the middle of chaos.

Now that we’ve switched to formula it’s so nice to not have to wash pump parts or haaka’s and only have to worry about bottles. I exclusively breastfed my first child for 15 months and wanted to make it to a year (1/2)

With the twins, but my mental health needed a break. They’re just over 9 months now and thriving on formula. I am much happier and feel like I get to spend more quality time with them not being attached to a pump or constantly having one of them on my boob. We are all sleeping better too. All that to say, do what’s best for your sanity. Fed really is best, even though breastmilk is ideal. It took me a while to come to terms with that but I’m soooo glad I did and don’t regret any part of our journey. I’m proud of the 7 months exclusively giving them breastmilk and I’m proud of myself for switching to formula when I was ready and in doing so prioritizing my mental health so I can remain sane and be the best mommy to them. 🥰 (2/2)

Combination, I used to pump but not so much anymore. But I will also breastfeed and use formula, I just hated pumping so much 😭

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
