Toddler tantrums

With great difficulty! 🙈 also got a 19 month old. Best thing I’ve found is just distraction. But this time of year when routine is out the window etc I think it’s been a lot worse xx

Omg same!! It's not a joke it's actually ridiculous how she acts I keep describing it like she's being hit with the exorcism because my god!! Shes terrible! Sod the terrible 2s it can't get much worse than this!

I am truly praying this is as bad as it gets. It really is like an exorcism, the sound that my little one makes is truly awful. I worry so much that I’ve done something to allow it to get this bad. My MIL kindly told me how none of her children did this when they were younger which has just made me feel like a total failure. It’s all just too much, along with illnesses constantly and teething on top, I feel like my happy baby is gone for good, it’s just absolutely exhausting 😔

My mum and MIL have both said none of us were as bad as my son but to be honest I think they forget how bad it could be. (Even I forget sometimes when he’s being good again until it happens again!)

I did recently have a really bad spell of time because he was ill which made it extra bad but luckily once he was better he went back to normal - still tantrums all the time but not as bad as it was. It’s so normal at this age, they just don’t know how to regulate their emotions. If you can try to stay calm and just distract them with something else. It’s SO hard in the moment though x
