Hi all! My LG is 8 months old and is just now getting her hair in. We’ve been using Honest brand wash and shampoo for now but I’m feeling like we should get something more suitable. She is half black / half white. Her hair seems pretty straight, maybe a bit of a wave forming, but is started to feel a little more dry/course.
Right now her dad washes her hair 3x a week, is that too much? Should we be using other products to take care of her hair?
Please no judgements I just want to take care of her hair.

I just saw this post on the feed and I don’t have a mixed race baby, but we’ve been using honest shampoo and it also got her hair very dry, we switched to aveeno and it became much better so maybe honest shampoo isn’t that great idk

You can get nalas - that's made for mixed/black babies skin & hair. We use it on our LG, she's got a full head of curls (half Jamaican, half white) it's been really good for her
thank you!! we’re also 🇯🇲 family
oh thank you!!! I hadn’t considered this

Hy 🌹,
Washing with shampoo once a week is optimal. When doing baths, using water alone will do the trick.
Also after baths, u can use a drop of coconut oil- daily. At this age the less the better ❤️.

Compliments of the season 😘

She has baby hair so baby shampoo is fine...
We use nalas x

I use Shea moisture kids and I swear by it hun! The shampoo conditioner 2in 1 the detangler leave in conditioner curling cream and the hair styling gel!! I’ve tried so many products but swear by that brand. Also I only wash once a week xx

I've been using Almond oil and it's amazing. Bubbas hair is really growing.
