Hi girls
I turned 40 this week. We had a miracle baby at 38 after 3 losses, and he has been the absolute joy of our lives. We have been so keen to have another but I just don’t think it’s going to happen for us. Every month, especially now I’m 40, feels more disheartening than the last. I’m tempted to go down the IVF route but… honestly I just don’t know if I could handle the hormonal changes/unsuccessful rounds.
I guess I don’t really have a question. Just hoping to hear from mums over 40 with experience of conception that can give me hope/peace of mind
Thank you

I had first baby at 38 and now pregnant with my second at 41 . Keep trying x

I had my first baby at 36 after 9 ivf transfers, my success came with IUI. Im currently trying to conceive again for the reason that I would like to have a sibling for my daughter and also extend my family....Im now 38 and have had 2 failed IUIs. I came across a quote today " a mentally healthy mother for your child is worth more than a sibling" really left an impression.
