How do you tell the difference between poop cramps and contractions

Following! I also need to know…last night I was having really painful tightening in my stomach, very similar to period cramps, but usually always resulting in gas (which, tbh, I get increased gas around period times as well). Nothing tonight, so assume it was just gas…but it really felt like something was happening

With my first, my contractions started as feeling like a needed a poo!

Honestly in the beginning you literally can’t! This is my second pregnancy and they really do feel the same to begin with!!! Especially if you suffer with IBS the pain is so similar xx

Mine felt like i needed to poo as well. Like literally I was about to shit myself. Ran to toliet and nothing would come out.
Trust me, I was in early labour for 3 weeks and thought contractions were bad then and I was convinced I was in active labour.
