Starting before bed insulin - high fasting

I think i will be soon. Medformin doesn't agree with me and snacking before bed isn't helping. Got my weekly review on Monday x

Hi, I am and started at 30w. I am on slow acting insulin for fasting numbers and quick acting insulin before breakfast.

For fasting, I was on 10 units, now on 14. My fasting numbers haven't decreased at all so I imagine they will increase it again soon.

My fast acting insulin (2 units) has brought my post breakfast readings down under target so that seems to be doing the trick.

I am also on Metformin and have a super healthy, GD friendly diet. It's just those pesky fasting numbers!

the doctor practice we are with doesn’t even start with metformin it’s straight to insulin :/. I started on 16 units and my fasting was still 96 so I had to go up to 18 units. But my fasting this morning was 89.. hopeful it stays level for a bit. My after meals are fine (so far) they did warm me up my blood sugars could just shoot up soon. So to just watch it
