Nuby Rapid Cool

Hi, if anyone uses the Nuby Rapid Cool, does your flask go from red, amber to green? Mine only goes from amber then a few seconds later to green and the milk does seem warm enough to drink. Just concerned as on the information leaflet, it says it takes a few minutes to go to green whereas mine always goes to green in a few seconds so not sure if it's faulty 😵‍💫

Hiya! Mine does the same thing and I’ve often wondered this. On their website it says something about resetting the lid, I haven’t had a go at this myself but might be worth looking at?

Hi Sophie, thanks! Have you fed your baby with the milk that was prepared in the Rapid cool in a few seconds? It seems the right temperature when I've done it but just worried to give it to my baby

We do hot water in it rather than milk So hot shot method and then add the cooled milk and it’s always been okay He isn’t having a massive bottle so I think it cools down quite quick He does have it topped up with breastmilk as well so I think that cools it slightly too

I didn’t realise there was a red. Mine goes amber when the boiling water is in and green once it’s good to use. I always check a drop of water left in the flask too just to make sure it really has cooled down and it always seems fine. I use the hotshot method so I then add it to the bottle and reshake and then check the temp of the whole bottle on my wrist x

Always try it before giving to your baby - the device works but I wouldn’t trust it!!!

I always tip upside down once more or usually goes back to amber again and then it’s deffo ready once green the second time x

Mine did when we first started to use it… red to amber to green but now it just goes amber to green x

Thank you all for your replies! I checked with Nuby and this was their response: Please note that cooling times that are set out in the user guide are only estimated times, so it is possible for feed to be cooled slightly quicker or slightly longer than these times. We always recommend that the temperature of the feed should be tested on the inside of the wrist before giving to baby.
