I’d definitely recommend just bringing the bedtime routine and putting him to sleep forward a bit, rather than a nap so close to bedtime. If he doesn’t go down for the night at 5, but instead has an hour nap and then is wide awake, your whole night and his routine will be thrown off. However, if you can manage another hour, and then drag out his bedtime routine, stories etc until 6:45 onwards - it likely won’t affect him too much ❤️ Also want to add, it does depend on your child, I know some luckyyyy people who’s child wouldn’t really be affected by this change and therefore go for it! My advice was more for the mums of children whose routines are very important for them and have a huge knock on effect! ❤️

I decided to wait. He can adjust fairly well with late naps but his bedtime becomes like 9. He’s in bed now and even though the last 1.5 hours was hard I am so glad I have the rest of the night off!

I would have longed it a bit for bed at 6! X

Earliest we do bed time is 17:30 if he’s not napped it’s great 🤣

Suck it up pookie. Let them sleep at 7:30 and have the rest of the night to yourself
