Mould on baby bouncer

Just getting all old stuff ready for baby no 2… and my BabyBjorn bouncer was stored in the shed (on reflection I know this was stupid!) Can I wash this and it be safe for baby to use or because there are patches of mould does it need to be replaced 😩

I wouldn't reuse it

I’d replace

No, unfortunately you can never really get rid of mould! Even if you wash it and can’t see it anymore it will still be there, better to be safe and replace! X

You can safely remove mould from textiles as long as they can be fully saturated and soaked. So if it is removable you can take it off the frame and soak it in a diluted bleach solution and it will kill any mould spores. I use the website called clean cloth nappies for all information regarding washing and cleaning textiles, not just nappies. It's science and evidence based so no internet myths or rumours etc and is written by people with degrees in chemistry so you know it works!

I wouldn’t even risk it. Especially if your little baby is going to use it. I would just throw it away.

Do agree with throwing it away. If you’re looking for covers, would suggest vinted!

If its just the cover I think u can buy a replacement cover.

Definitely throw. Get a new cover, not worth risking it. Mold is so bad for your health

You can just get a replacement covet for it, there’s lots on fb marketplace and vinted too x

Baby bjorn sells new covers and you can get cheaper replacement ones off amazon. Don't risk it
