Electric or Nose Frida. And for us a distraction or holding her down for a few minutes. Also saline mist. A little crying and struggling is worth the relief baby gets. Also steamy showers help a bit. Unfortunately it's just about keeping up with it and distractions as much as possible

OK so I heard about the steamy showers for the nose but what does it do to the chest mucus and congestion?

it helps open up the lungs and loosen some of what's in the chest.

Yes! Steamy showers are super helpful. My daughter has asthma and steamy showers help her a lot when she’s sick. Another mom also recommended this to me, but haven’t purchased yet but it’s like the hospital grade nose sucker

Have you seen those videos on IG or TikTok of moms doing nasal rinses on their babies? They wrap them up in a towel so they can’t move and do the rinse, soooo much mucous comes out! If you haven’t seen it, look one up! I saw it, asked her doctor about it, then tried it with my baby when she was sick two months ago, it worked great!

Nebulizers will help if having trouble breathing.I used a suctioner (bulb ) I had to hold my son down and he struggled but I had too.We had the flu and it was bad.I also gave a warm bath with some vapor baby wash and can use baby vapor rub as well.I was told to alternate between Tylenol and Motrin…That works better then just Tylenol.

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
