Not Nov/December or July but that’s purely going on my kids dates of birth and doing kids birthday parties.

Both of mine were planned for and born in June/July/August, I love it 😁

There’s a reason why farmers usually plan lambing etc in Spring, so those babies are good and strong for the winter (for our babies, they’ll be a bit bigger and stronger for those winter germs!) x

I have 2 March 1 April my 4th was meant to be May but came 3 months early so Feb and I found being pregnant in winter , in labour in winter/spring great as it’s not to hot etc I’m now due September and I’m dreading being heavily pregnant and summer 🤣

Avatar

I had one in January and one in June, January was better as by summer we could go out and enjoy it a bit more!

I had mine in June. It was nice being able to go on walks with the pram when I'd recovered a bit from the birth. But I do think I'd prefer next time to have a baby in winter or spring. So that they're a bit older by summer. I feel like newborns can be tricky in summer because I personally think it's harder to cool and soothe a hot and irritated baby down than it is to warm and cosy them up if that makes sense😅 but on the other side of that, winter is more rife for illness and it's awful dealing with a sick baby/child of any age but especially newborn when they have no immunity. Pros and cons to all id say

We had a Feb baby. I loved it. I ate good for xmas. It was cold when she was born, so i had a great excuse to stay home and rest. By the time I had energy to be up and about, it was getting warmer!

Spring so you can prep for summer so you’re a vet by the time winter comes

December was great for my first because the months that I was stuck inside for weather reaons were the months that I was figuring out the parenting thing anyways. July sucked for heat reasons. If I could pick for a future one I would try for spring.

Spring baby!!!
You are pregnant over autumn/winter so can hibernate.

Get out for walks with your new born as the weather turns nicer.

By the summer they are a bit older and you can go out and about even more.

They can even join you for Xmas dinner then too as you will have started weaning 🥰

Both my girls will be spring. 1st was end of March and 2nd will be end of April/start of May.

Being 9 months pregnant in July wasnt very ideal to me.

Early May baby, heavily pregnant during the cooler months of the year. Baby is born when it starts warming up so don’t have to worry about them getting too cold/ overheating with all the layers in winter. Maternity leave is mostly in the summer months then the build up to Christmas Xx

Avatar

I have had a May baby and a March baby and now I’m due in June.
I think I preferred having a March baby, but I enjoy celebrating birthdays in May and June 😂

Avatar

My son was born in March and that worked nicely for me as it meant I could settle him by taking him out on nice long walks because the weather was fine 🙂
I would struggle having a baby in the middle of a dark cold winter 💀

I have winter babies, born in January both. I like it as we stay indoors anyway the first weeks, then when comes summer, they usually can sit up so it's nice for picnic, not using a carrycot anymore. Going out more with a carrier only as well , just enjoying more their first summer

Avatar

May/june because it’s halfway til Christmas so you can spread out gift spending lol also I’d hate to be heavily pregnant in July or august in Florida it’s waaaaaay too hot

Avatar

My first baby was born in March I loved it 😊 . I had extra warmth during the winter months . I was outside with my baby during the summer / spring bc of the nice weather . Now I’m due in spring once again . My body likes this timeline obviously 😭😭

My Feb baby is a nightmare in terms of presents just after Christmas, but pregnancy wise was the dream - barely showing in the summer, was huge by Christmas but could just eat and be cosy, then he was a cute age in the summer while on mat leave and could spend lots of time outside.

Avatar

My first daughter was born in July and my second was born in march i enjoyed second more x

Avatar

I'd say spring because then you have them a newborn in the summer and it's way easier to go out for walks, no need to worry about it being too cold for baby at night and they are old enough to go to baby groups and indoor activities once autumn/winter starts

Avatar

Had my babies in April and May! Loved it! Winter was nice with being pregnant and me being super hot I loved being pregnant in the winter and for my babies it was nice to be able to be outside when they were small cause by the winter the were bigger and I felt more comfortable with them being outside for like going to the store and that type of thing.

Avatar

First was September and second was April.
Much prefer April birthday! September is the busiest month in maternity wards for one, but also means the nights are getting darker and longer which feels really hard with a newborn when you're awake every hour. Also meant I was very heavily pregnant during the hottest months of the year, not fun! And baby was still very young when exposed to all winter bugs.

Avatar

My first was born in June, and it was better only because I’m a teacher and had the whole summer off, so more time with my newborn. My second was born this past January. I’m not looking forward to going back to work, but I am looking forward to him being a little bit older come summer time, so we can do more family things together.

Avatar

By seasons, Spring. Thoughts as a teacher... September to December 😅❤️

Avatar

Working in a school we opted for October.

Avatar

Summer. Because then you miss the mega heat whilst heavy pregnant haha

Avatar

curious. How come?

Avatar

I can’t speak for josie but I think statistically the autumn babies get better results in school as they get virtually a whole year extra at home over the summer babies before starting in Sept x

Avatar

Don’t know when the ‘best’ time is (if there even is one) babies are born when they’re born. But don’t be pregnant at Christmas 😅 I’ve been pregnant for two Christmases now and I was a miserable grinch!! No alcohol, no salmon, pate, cured meats or certain cheeses.

Avatar

I’m glad I had mine in November because by the time it’s summer she will be weaning and we can have cute picnics

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

Almost 37 weeks + told to do another growth scan

I just had my second to last doctor’s appointment this morning, and my OB told me she wants me to do another growth scan because my belly is measuring small. She says it’s probably just because I’m a smaller woman, but they like to be safe. It’s hard to hear though, since I just did one a couple months ago.

I did this with my firstborn around this time of pregnancy, so I do think I just carry smaller (even though I don’t feel like I look “small” at all). My first baby was 6lbs 15oz when she was born at 41 weeks + 2 days. I’m having this baby at 39 weeks on April 7. I hope she’s still at least 6lbs.

Anyone have any stories similar to this?
