Stopping milk production

Hello everyone, My baby is 1 month and 8 days. I've been pumping only twice a day as I was doing mixed feeding since she was born. I had very bad mastitis and decided to stop pumping and formula feed her exclusively. I stopped pumping progressively since more than a week now and I still have milk leakage. How long does it take to completely stop ? Thanks

hmm, it can take a few days to a couple of weeks for your milk to fully dry up, but everyone's different, so just hang in there! I actually checked the 'Heal Baby Care App' for this and here's what it says: "It's common to experience milk leakage for a while after stopping pumping, especially if you've been pumping for a month. Typically, it can take a few days to a couple of weeks for your body to fully adjust and stop producing milk. To help ease the process, you can wear a supportive bra and apply cold compresses to reduce discomfort. Have you noticed any pain or swelling in your breasts since you stopped pumping?

@Susan thanks for your answer Susan ! I've not noticed any pain or swelling thankfully so I guess I'm on the right path. Just need to be a bit patient haha
