False starts at night.

For the past 2 weeks my almost 4 month old has been going to bed at her usual time (sometimes fed to sleep on the boob or sometimes she’ll drift off by herself) but she’ll only sleep 30-50 mins before waking up again. I can’t complain too much as she is easy to get back to sleep but i feel like it’s double the bedtime routine. She has 4/5 naps during the day, all around 30-45 mins apart from one long one (2 hours) which can be any of those naps. What can I do to stop these false starts? For reference shes goes to bed around 7:30pm and will wake 3/4 times during the night and always has done since birth. We start the day between 7:30 - 8am.

It could be that she hadn't built up enough sleep pressure before going to bed, maybe move her bedtime 15 mins later until you find thst sweet spot

Is she drinking enough in the day? I found that my little one would never take a full bottle in a sitting so I'd do like a bottle say 6oz ozs and she'd have 4, then before the hour was up, give her the rest and she'd have it. Maybe you breast feed i dunno but making sure she is full really helps at night. The days she has less (by her choice!) I'm deffo up more.

My daughter was the same way! We tried everything but the false starts lasted a couple months then she just adjusted and grew out of it. We just considered it part of our bedtime routine at that point 😅

False starts are almost always due to overtiredness. I’d try putting her down a bit earlier.
