Foremilk/hindmilk imbalance (breastfeeding mamas)

Please has anyone experienced their baby having foremilk/hind milk imbalance from their breast milk? I was thinking my baby may have an intolerance to something I’m eating so I’ve cut out dairy and eggs for a week and there’s no improvements. He’s experiencing green diarrhoea and so much discomfort which I know is the same symptoms as intolerance so I’m beginning to think it’s an imbalance in my breast milk. Can anyone who has experience here shed some light as I’m so worried for my son, I just want him back to normal it’s been some weeks now, seeing him like this is horrible.

When my son was younger it helped if I caught some of my letdown sometimes, that way they can get more fat if that’s the issue going on

My daughter had this. I pumped for 10 mins before a feed or hand expressed a little just to until the let down slowed and this improved it. It can be fine as long as he's putting on normal amount of weight. It's just fast let down. They get better with it with time as they age.

1 week isn’t long enough for dairy to be completely out of your system - it’s about 3 weeks for all traces to be gone.

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

How many words

Just a quick gauge of how many words your little ones are saying at this age. I heard by 15 months it should be 5 words, are most around this mark ?
