How much was your engagement ring?

My original? It was 7500. It’s a .72 carat center diamond with 4 diamonds in descending size along side of it

My ring cost less than £200 and I couldn’t be happier with it.

I won’t say how much but single oval diamond on a thin gold band. About 3.5 carat.

Mine is a 1.7 carat fancy yellow diamond with a halo of diamonds on a white gold band with yellow gold prongs.

The take home is that I can’t even fit it on my chubby finger anymore after being pregnant 😂 let my story be a lesson to anyone thinking about getting a very expensive ring lol

1.5 carat center stone with a halo and side stones partially around the band. About 17k. My husband is really good at saving money lol

Pear shaped solitair 3/4carats in white gold. It was about 3k I believe.

I loovvveee opals but I was always told they are a soft stone so they won't last for an engagement ring 😭

I'm considering an upgrade. Have you had any problems? How long have you had it? Do you wear it everyday?

Hi! It's true they are a soft stone, so they require a bit more upkeep than a traditional ring. My family is in the jewelry business so I was comfortable with the amount of upkeep/monitoring required. I've only had this specific ring since October, but I've had an opal ring that I've worn almost daily since highschool (going on 16 years!) and it's in great condition. You really just need to be cognizant of it...take it off to shower/wash dishes/swim etc and try to keep from letting it take any big impact (would not recommend for a daily ring if you have a very manual job).
