Naps & Fatigue

Is anyone else having to have several naps a day?

Just woken up very groggy from a 2 hr nap. Yesterday I had 5 naps and on average falling asleep several times a day but struggling to get a full nights sleep.

I get we are growing humans but this seems excessive.

Is anyone else the same?

I keep worrying that there is something wrong with me.

It's very normal. Pregnancy tired is something else. Everyone will tell you "oh wait till the baby is here then you will be tired". But at least you have a reason for being tired then!! You have a sleep and you're sorted. This is another kind of tired.
With my first I used to have a decent nap before or after work. Now I have an almost 3 year old I can't nap anymore :(. It's awful. You keep having those naps. Your body needs it

It might be worth having some bloods done. I was like this and it’s totally different to how I felt in my first pregnancy so I felt something wasn’t right. I pushed for bloods and turns out I’m anaemic.
Also you’re probably not sleeping so well at night if you’re napping that much during the day but just take the sleep where you can! I’d love a nap someday but not sure my toddler would allow it 😂

Oh the lovely days of my first pregnancy, I miss all the naps. I have a 2 year old this time around so no more naps for me, I’m jealous 🫠😩

Thanks all for the reassurance. I have had horrendous morning sickness so wonder whether I am a bit anaemic. I had bloods done in February but the results haven’t appeared on my badger notes. Got another set on Wednesday so will ask.

Before pregnancy I wouldn’t dare let myself nap during the day because I’d be up all night.. but that’s definitely not a problem now🤣 if I can, I’ll have an hours kip in the afternoon (by 3pm I’m struggling to stay awake or concentrate on anything) and then I’ll be back in bed by 10!

Pregnancy exhaustion is wild😵‍💫

Hey! Im feeling the exact same way as you - I have to keep reminding myself of how hard my body is working. I’m constantly reassured that it’s completely normal and just take the time to rest whenever you feel like you need to - everyone is different x

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂

No more naps! 10 month old

For a few days now my 10m old has fought her 2 daily naps. Normally her wake windows were 3-4 hours and she is now eventually napping after a 6 hour wake window. Today was only one nap, she skipped the second one. Used to nap like clockwork so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Also very unsettled most nights and doesn’t sleep well at all
