I don't think you're scarring him. But. You can't do that forever. I never did it for him, I taught him "penis points down" and just reiterated that any time I saw him with his hands down his nappy. And he learnt it and stopped peeing out his nappy.

oh yeah he knows it has to point down and will always put it back in during the day but he des it in his sleep or he’ll be playing with it in bed and then fall asleep. Obviously I won’t be doing it forever as he won’t be in a nappy forever

Yeah, but some kids aren't night trained til 3 or 4 or later, it's hormonal, it's not actually in their control. You want to be sticking his penis down for him for the next year?

I taught mine when he was still in nappies at night. He managed to learn penis down at night too, and stop leaking his nappy.

Thanks guys. This post was actually just a jokey post about my ‘fear’ of the stories he’ll tell when he’s older. It really doesn’t take much for me to put it back in on my way to bed and it won’t be forever. Great if you managed to stop your kid doing something that mine does in his sleep. My son is in his pants in the day mostly now anyway so it’s not a big issue. Like I said, just a joke
