Hey mamas I had an emergency C-section at 37 weeks my son is now 18 days old we spent 15 days in the NICU because he was so small also I exclusively pump because the doctors didn’t want my son wasting energy trying to feed from the breast but now I can’t get him to latch because he’s only known the bottle also my milk supply is so low not even getting a full ounce most the time I pump every couple hours sometimes I cluster pump or pump hourly but nothing is working what do I do? Will my milk ever increase or do I just give up at this point? I really need help here.

Try nipple shields to get your baby to latch as it makes it similar to a bottle. Most bottle brands do shields too to make them feel the same. He is the best thing for your supply - he will get so much more than a pump ever can! Do not give up. I had a really disrupted start and relied on pumping first, then shields and now my 9 week old feeds perfectly on the breast 😊

Yes thank you I do have nipple shields just haven’t used them yet I will definitely jump on that!!

I had a similar situation 3 weeks ago, but my milk supply has since increased. Here's what I did, I got the right flange insert (from amazon). The standard 24mm is too big for me. I also bought a tea called tea for nursing mother from amazon. I already take some lactation supplements before this.
I also downloaded the Huckleberry app and used the pump option to record my supply per pumping session. The record and graphics motivate me to pump more.
Also worth doing is late night pump and early morning pump.
I pump an average of 5 times a day, but on some days, I pump up to 6 times a day.
Doing this, i have been able to increase my supply.

Have you tried hand expressing afternursing?? I feel like its faster/better than pumping

Nipple shields, they're more like bottle teats and easier to latch onto. I used them. They're also less pain for you. Boots sell them, can order online to deliver to a store local to you quite quickly usually but the bigger stores have them too.
Pumping will never produce as much milk as feeding and is not an indicator of supply, when your baby is feeding she'll get more milk than you can ever pump because your body produces powerful hormones in response to her feeding that you just can't replicate with pumping. I have been breastfeeding for nearly 7 months now and can barely get 1 oz in half an hour. My baby grows completely normally. You can tell your supply from how much baby wees and poos (wee can take up to 5 days after birth to come through properly.)
