My LO seems to be suffering with separation anxiety but only around bedtime … naps seem okay.
It’s almost as soon as the light goes off or we leave the room he cries. He needs us holding/ touching him. It’s really effecting his sleep with hourly wakes.
Has anyone got advice or been through similar?
How long does it last?

My boy literally started this last night crying screaming making himself vomit till gone 1am. Same, fine with naps! Just put him down to sleep and he was very temperamental and cried once he realised I’d walked out the door and I have to pat/stroke him to settle him. I’ve just googled it and it’s a 14 month sleep regression 😅
yeah we’ve done so much googling haha … it’s just so strange cos he’s fine going to nursery, fine us popping out the room etc but bedtime a different story!
Hoping it doesn’t last too long… we are approaching a week now xx

No advice as such but its normal to see this as night time sleep represents a much longer period of separation vs naps which are shorter so more acceptable. You could cosleep when needed until the peak passes- generally its best to meet their need for extra comfort until it passes rather than fighting it x
yeah that’s what we’ve ended up doing for now which is strange for us as we’ve never concept or contact nap.. I’m seeing it as extra cuddles before he’s too old to want cuddles 😂
