Bugaboo fox 5 or Maxi cosi Fame ?

Need some help girls! I’ve had my heart set on the bugaboo fox 5 but recently seen the Maxi Cosi Fame which I’m in love with! Just wanted some opinions on which travel system you all think is best x

I LOVE my bugaboo fox but I live in a semi rural town with lots of uneven ground so it’s perfect for that, if you live in a city you could get away with something smaller and lightweight I have a joolz aer+ and it’s also brilliant for shopping centres etc

Bugaboo fox is lovely but I find they are also quite low? While the carry cot with the maxi cosi is much higher And you can adjust with the fame, if your getting it as a travel system maxi cosi car seats are very well tested 🙂

Haven’t seen the fame in person but I cannot fault our fox5 at all- we absolutely love it. As Megan mentioned the carrycot is quite low but they’ve now released some adapters to make it higher on the frame x

I’d say to try them both in a store or retailer local to you. That way, you can test how they feel to push, trial the fold of each and see what would work best for you. I have a bugaboo buffalo (which is the fox before it became the fox 😂) and love it but the fold can be a faff & the Maxi Cosi Fame is 1000% more compact and easy to fold, especially whilst without needing to remove the seat. Depends what you’d need it for. We do a lot of walking in rough terrain which the bugaboo is perfect for but just a general out and about pushchair/travel system with little off-roading, I’d say go for the Maxi Cosi Fame, especially if you’re buying it as a travel system. The infant carrier that the fame comes with is very good, compared to a lot of other travel systems, and scores better in safety tests than most that come as part of a travel system x

Mines been tried and tested through the sea and all. Fox 5 can have adaptors to adjust the height.

I’ve had bugaboo for last 11 years and can’t fault their customer service.

We have the maxi cosí fame and it is good. I love the bassinet features however, the seat attachment (which states is suitable from birth) is making me lose my s**t. My little girl
Is 6 months next week, is on the smaller side but not really length wise, and the seat attachment shoulder pads seem to be cutting into her ears and are way too high up. I’ve adjusted several times, watched their videos on how to adjust for newborns etc and still can’t seem to get it right. Just something to be wary of.
Attentively, if you do go for this one and figure out how to do it, please send me a video tutorial 😂

MIL kissing baby

My baby girl was born on 2/15/26, my husband and I told our immediate family no kisses at all, wash hands etc. For the first 2 times his family visited they followed the rules and to be honest I didn’t let them hold her because I had a feeling. But since they seemed to be respecting it I let them hold her on the 3rd time and everything seemed fine. The 4th visit she came up to us and straight went to kiss her head, it gave me no time to respond. I got very upset and went upstairs with her. My husband followed asking if I needed help, I told him I was very upset and just said just drop it. Fast forward a few days and she gets sick. He refuses to accept it was from her, he keeps saying it was probably him. They wanted to come over for Easter and I said no, I am still very upset. She has been the only one breaking the rule, my mom was here helping me out with baby and the house stuff for about a month and she respected it from day 1. We have gone to several doctor appt and ER visits because she was not getting better. Its been over a week now and she seems to be on the mend now. My husband always gets upset because I get upset when his family does stuff like this. Any advise?

Am I interacting enough with baby?

My little girl is 3 weeks old. Im EBF.
When shes awake I feed her, either have a cuddle with her or place her in her rocker with lullabies.
I read her a 1 or 2 stories a day or sing nursery rhymes.
She isn't a fan of her play matt yet for tummy tine or on her back. She'd rather be in her rocker or having cuddles. She has tummy time on mine and partners chest and she does lift her head but just doesnt like on the matt yet.

She really only cries if she wants feeding or is getting her nappy changed so its easy to sometimes leave her chilling in the moses basket or rocker in the day.
Is there anything else I could/should be doing with her?
We have a black and white contrast card book but she doesnt seem to focus on it yet. Any tips?
We are bathing about 2 times a week since her cord fell off and her skins quite dry.

Do you teach your child the proper terms for genitalia (penis/vagina)?

My husband is uncomfortable with our daughter knowing or using the word "penis". Do you teach your child the proper terms? I say it should be normalized but he disagrees because it makes him uncomfortable.

Formula

I’m looking to switch my baby to formula I’ve been looking at the European brands cause they seem to have less gunk than the US formulas, but I really am scared to use Formuland. I don’t know which one cause I’m needing to switch here soon

4 year old only weeing once a day

Has anyone gone through this? Ive taken her doctors and had a urine sample tested and it came back clear!
Shes having full nappies at night but in the day will literally weeks first thing and then not again till around 3 ir 4pm.

Changing nappies

How often are people changing nappies?
At each feed or other ? My baby is just getting older to 4 hours between feeds so not sure whether I should be waiting for the next feed or changing in between? Obviously if it’s a poo it’s changed straight away.
