Being told I have a small bump

Hey all so I’m currently 26 weeks and going through growth scans as my little girl is showing as small for size, at 25 weeks she was 796g and I believe she should be around the 900g/1000g but the hospital we’re happy with her progress and could see the growth so wasn’t worried. They just said she won’t be a 10lb baby which I’m more than fine with

I’ve also seen my midwife about 2 weeks ago and my bump measurements was all good as well but going into work since I keep getting omg you’re so small still and you don’t look pregnant comments and it’s so disheartening to keep hearing as I already doubt my bump size and automatically think somethings wrong, I also find myself looking at 5lb and 6lb born babies so I’m extra prepared for a small baby at birth

Has anyone else had this feeling or am I just overthinking these comments

My bump didn't really start showing until 29 weeks. I work in a school and often had comments from children that I don't look pregnant. Today I got asked why my tummy was so big, which was surprisingly reassuring! I believe it's common for first time mums to not show as much until later on x

Totally normal feeling but try thinking of it differently - it will be sooo much easier to bounce back from after 🤣 I had all the same comments with my first, she was 6.5lb when born and honestly when she was here, weight didn’t bother me I just wanted to see she was healthy. She still fit in 0-1m clothes (albeit a bit big but she was defo not tiny size) Unless your co workers are midwives, take no notice on what they say, people are so entitled to comment on pregnant women’s body just take it with a pinch of salt, they’re just trying to engage about your pregnancy with you

Honestly I think people say it without thinking and they think it’s positive because their trying to say wow you look good but when your pregnant and overthinking and worrying about growth it’s really not helpful. Honestly try to ignore it. Unless you’re wearing form fitting outfits everyday it’s also really hard to actually see bump size. I’ve been wearing sweatshirts and my jeans (albeit not all the way done up) and barely look pregnant then the last week or so where the weathers changed and I’ve worn tighter maternity dresses my family couldn’t believe how big my bump had gotten. It sounds like you and baby are doing great and she’ll be perfect, don’t let the outside noise spoil this time for you x

This is my situation also! Everyone (work, neighbors, etc) saying how “small” I am at 28 weeks. One of the other women in my office is 29 weeks and twice my bump size (her third) so everyone compares the two of us. My doctor is happy with the baby’s progress and said everyone shows differently so I have just started smiling and telling people yes, I must have very strong core muscles. Don’t let it bother you!

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!
