My daughter is a few months into weaning but has just started actually eating a decent amount in the past couple of weeks. Shes been constipated for 3 days and finally went today but was crying her eyes out and there was a small amount of blood coming out clearly from trying to pass something more solid (tmi sorry!). Should I be worried or is this normal? Shes 8mo

I think it is normal because of changes of diet, dairy. I remember my little one had a few of these type poops I think it's to do with vessels and yes constipated poo passing through

Perfectly normal for the change in diet especially if switching from breastfeeding as breast milk is a natural laxitive. Make sure she's drinking water with it and maybe try giving her prune puree as "dessert". If that doesn't help you could maybe speak to a pharmacist for OTC treatments just until her diet has settled.
My daughter is almost 2.5 and is not a regular pooper sometimes only going once a week.
