1-hr nap all of a sudden 😵‍💫

My daughter is low sleep needs and dropped her second nap at 11m. Since then she was napping for 1.5 hours. But now she’s awake after one hour or less sometimes and it’s driving me crazy 🫠 I feel like by the time I clean up lunch and toys she’s up and I barely have a minute to decompress! We’ve been trying to keep her busy and she’s doing loads more so I don’t know why she’s not tired. She usually wakes up without making a sound and the only way I know she’s up is by checking the monitor. I’ve been leaving her 10/15 mins after she wakes to see if she goes back to sleep or have tried helping rescue the nap but she is WIDE awake! She’s been sleeping 10-11 hours at night without waking, unless she’s teething or sick. I’d rather her have good nights and short naps but lately she’s teething so it’s rough nights and crap naps.

Like all things I know she’ll grow out of it but I just want to know I’m not alone in this! 🤣

My little one only naps for between 1-1.5hrs! Jealous of people who get 3hr naps 😂. He just doesn't need that much sleep though and he'd be awake until midnight if he did nap that long! I'm just trying to accept that he's got a lower sleep need x

My little one has been on one nap since around 10 months and has from 20 mins to 1 and half hours 😅😅 I'm pretty sure she's nearly ready to drop all naps but I'm keeping her extra busy physically in the mornings so she naps, I'm talking soft play/park/swimming everyday 😅 and we have a 3 month old at home too so I never have any time to decompress 😅😅 I'm just thankful she sleeps 8-8 during the night 😅

oh my goodness! Bless you! It wouldn’t surprise me if mine is the same. I wish I had her energy! If she stops napping I’ll try to enforce a quiet hour every day 😂 my MIL is our childcare for now and I feel for her if my girl stops napping for sure!

My son is the exact same!! At nursery he might sleep for 40 minutes to an 1 hour which I reckon is because they do so much there but with me he only naps for 20-50 minutes a day. He does sleep for 10-12 hours a night though so as long as he sleeps through i don’t mind about short naps. It shocks me when I hear of other children napping for hours😂

This is us we are a low sleep needs baby. We dropped naps early from the get go early days 🙃.

We have had a handful of no nap days, generally when she's at nursery and she's been absolutely fine We just do an earlier bedtime. I still try and push for a minimum 1 hour nap at home, I'm not ready for nap dropping.

I do think by the end of the year she will be down to no naps or bare minimum 😬

I'm jealous of the long nappers but having said that she sleeps through the night with no night wakes

We are on most days no naps
Honestly drives me crazy she's up from 7.30am (well sometimes earlier but has to wait until then for routine and in bed at 7.30pm but currently it's a struggle to get any nap in at all even though we are keeping busy especially in the garden whilst it's nice out

My little girl has been low sleep needs all her life 😂🤦🏽‍♀️ I definitely feel you on this one! Her longest nap ever has been 1 hour 20 😬 (not including newborn sleep obviously) she's been having an hour since 7 months old. By the time I settle her, go out and faff around a bit, make a cuppa or some toast, it feels like she's up again 🫠 next time I want a baby who needs 3 hour naps 😂😂

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
