Does anyone have any advice on getting my newly potty trained toddler to poop on the potty or toilet??

My boy took a long time to poop on the toilet. In the end, I opened out a nappy and laid it across the toilet so he felt like it was the same. He done his business, then he helped drop it in, flush and say bye!!
After a week or so, I simply said we've run out of nappies and so have the shop, he had to just poo and popped toilet paper on the water.
It worked, now he goes in like an absolute boss!

Be patient! We still have good and bad weeks and she will be 3 in August (potty trained by 2) books on the potty, toys,
Sitting them down 30 mins after a meal helped us xx

I’m going to give this a try with the nappy over the toilet it sounds like a great idea x

we have been blowing bubbles and tried to read a potty story but he doesnt want to sit long enough to listen or even long enough trying but it’s a fight to get him stayed my sat down

it's hard! If I know my daughter needs a poo but is trying not to do it on the potty I end up bribing her with a chocolate button 😂.

We had a sticker chart (peppa pig of
Course) that really helped xx

My son outright refused to poo on the potty but then refused a nappy back on. In the end he needed laxatives from the doctor as he wasn't going at all. He then had no choice but to use the potty bless him 🙈
