Has anyone else’s nearly 5 month old naps just gone to pot? Today mine hasn’t even had an hour in naps and just will not go off! She had 40 minutes this morning then fell asleep in the car for 10 minutes after swimming and just will not go off since. I’ve been thinking over the last few days she might be transitioning to 3 naps but she can’t just have 3 cat naps a day surely?! Huckleberry says 2 of the naps should be 1hr 45-2 hours long and that’s no way happening 😩

Same no longer than 30 mins 😭😭

Yes! We’re now also having issues with getting him to nap anywhere other than home 🙈

My LO has only ever cat napped, usually no longer than 30 mins 🫠 We don't have a set nap schedule because of this as she normally has 2 short naps between bottles rather than 1 longer one, but I'm blessed that she sleeps 10-11 hours overnight. I just go with the flow through the day since it's not affecting her nighttime sleep.
Contact naps have been keeping her asleep longer, so I've been doing that at home. I was stressing about her not sleeping independently through the day and trying to put her in her cot for naps but she still sleeps the same at night whether or not she's had contact naps, so I'm making the most of it while it lasts 😅

I have been having the same worry! Given that most people are in the same boat, anyone starting to think the ‘recommendations’ are just made up? 😂

I’ve had a day of it aswell 30 mins this morning and has been fighting his second nap but luckily managed to get him to sleep in the pushchair and he’s been asleep for an hour a half 😅
My boy does not contact nap either so even me holding him makes him worse it’s a never ending battle he’s been like this since 3 months old but is a good sleeper at night (for now …..😂) xx

Mine doesn't nap anywhere near as much as it says on Huckleberry and on the days last week when I contact napped so he would sleep 3+ hours in the day he was a bogger at bedtime! So I'm not forcing it anymore. I'd rather he have poxy naps and sleep for a good block in the evening tbh

Exactly the same problem unless contact napping on my chest and I can maybe get an hour out of him

my boy is the same with contact naps .. he wants to be left alone no touching 🤣💔
I’m also finding all of a sudden he’s started having a really fussy 10/15 minutes before he actually naps 🫠

My baby went through this at 3/4 months ish, she would only sleep whilst being breastfed, she has just started napping properly now throughout the day and will go to sleep in her pram not contact napping xx

I'm starting to think it must be developmental that the naps are so short. But I have found that if my LG starts with 30min naps she naps more often in the day and they gradually get longer as she's more tired as the day goes by.
