Well, no nursery for us!!!
Just been told that they now don't have a space for my son due to not enough staff.
We were "accepted" since 7 months ago (I only wanted him to start at 16 months)
I run a business from home, and really need the extra time to make more money! Not going to lie, I was looking forward to a few child free hours a few days a week too...
We have no one. No grandparents. No friends to look after my son.
I know there is a childcare crisis. But I feel absolutely defeated.
Plus I really needed my son to get some socializing because he barely gets that!
Sorry just a rant, don't really expect anything from it

childminders will be able to accommodate your little one much quicker x
Check if you have a Facebook group for childminders in your area. There's one for my area where childminders advertise and people can post asking for availability

Uff that's so annoying. Are there any child minders around? Or any potential local moms you can do a shared care kind of thing? Thinking either you and another mom or two having an arrangement where you watch both kids some days, they watch both kids some other days, or a shared nanny? If you're flexible, see if anyone in the community wants to earn a bit extra to look after kid for a couple hours a day, sort of like borrowing a grandparent? I hope you find something, and apologies if I've overstepped with the suggestions.
