Baby girl is only 4 days old but is it normal that she’s feeding every 2ish hours and doing 20-30ml, sometimes not even a full oz. My midwife said I should be expecting her to be doing every 3-4 hour feeds and about 60ml/2-3 oz. Is this pretty normal for her to be feeding this often and little?

I’m not sure about bottle feeding, but I’m breastfeeding and my 5 day old is feeding every 45 minutes or so! I then get maybe a 3 hour stint where he sleeps, but the feeds are very frequent currently

It is perfectly normal. I bottle feed and find that my baby boy is eating every 2 to 3 hours. He is 7 days old. Sometimes he does 30ml, sometimes he does 90ml over an hour or so. It is so unpredictable. I would speak to them at your 5 day check when they do the weight to see how much baby has lost to see if they have any concerns. X

Both my girls did the same, every two hours at first due to cluster feeding. Mine is two weeks old now and it's getting better but she's still feeding every 2/3 hours on a good day, shes back to her birth weight now so hoping it gets better again soon x
