Newborn playing with nipple when feeding?

I have a 4 week old, and she seems to like playing with my nipple with her tongue, before she feeds and during and after. Is this normal?

Totally normal, it's a healthy stim for nursing babies

Completely normal lol actually helps stimulate and bring down the milk flow

Yup they all do lol

Totally normal! When they're bigger they'll also fiddle with their hands while feeding 😆

Yes it's normal and a healthy sign! I asked my midwife and she said it's called a flutter sucking. When the baby uses their tongue to stimulate and draw the fatty portion of the milk. Clever babies! 😊

Kissing baby

So I'm getting more and more annoyed with my in laws. Before my LG arrived my partner made it clear there would be no kissing baby, this was then respected until around 6 weeks ago when she turned 4 months. My FIL has for some reason started kissing her on the cheek, back of the head and now her hand which she constantly puts in her mouth!

After the first time I made my partner say something, there were a few tongue in cheek comments about it from my FIL and the next time we saw him he kissed her on the back of the head and said 'whoops'.

Today he kissed her on the hand and I'm just so livid at this point and I'm getting anxious anytime somebody else holds her. She was 5 weeks early and has had bronchiolitis twice already, one of these times happened after she'd been kissed by FIL when he had a cold. I've started baby carrying more when we are meeting with family as I just don't want them to touch her anymore.

I personally don't think anyone but me and her dad should be kissing her until she wants to give kisses herself, but my partner thinks this could be because I don't have siblings or nieces/nephews.

Iv always got on great with my in laws so it's upsetting that this is causing me to want to distance ourselves, especially as we moved closer to them when I was pregnant for them to help with occasional baby sitting (MIL loves to babysit!). Now I don't feel like I can let her babysit at theirs because she'll get kisses from her grandad. Whenever they hold her I just want to snatch her back.

I just hate that our boundaries aren't being respected and that it's putting my baby at risk, but I don't really know if I'm being over cautious now that she's over 5 months.

What did everyone else do? What would you do in this situation?

Nighttime scaries

My man is starting back work today (I’m 3 weeks pp) and he works overnights so I’m super nervous about being alone all night long.. I had a big issue already for the first 2 weeks falling asleep while baby was asleep and I’ve more comfortable with it because he was also here to watch and help with her but now he’s not going to be and that same anxiety has started to come back..

Health Visitor Home Visit

Hii, could anyone explain what the health visitor does on their home visit?

Also if anyone had a home birth, what the midwife home risk assessment involves?

I’ve got 3 home visits coming up in the next two weeks (health visitor, midwives and doula) and it’s making me nervous for some reason. I think having 3 just feels like a lot and a bit invasive if that makes sense!

Girlies how are we doing our laundry??? What detergents are we using? What colours are we mixing (or not). I just feel like my clothes are not washing properly. Albeit i live in a hostel and use the bloody communal washing machine but that shouldn’t be a problem right?!
What do you presoak etc? Tell me everything!
