Any tips for breastfeeding with very fast letdown? I’m talking milk literally spraying out at sonic speed 😂
Little girl is choking quite often on it and it stresses me

My son was like this until my supply regulated at about 8-10 weeks. Only advice is when you feel a letdown coming, catch it in a muslin cloth and latch baby back on!

Pump for 2 mins before feeding

Also experienced the same thing, I don’t have any tips, but it did stop by the time he was around 8weeks 😊 x

Same for me. I agree, latching on laying back tends to help us. Also I have a manual pump and will express an ounce or so before she feeds. I went to a breastfeeding group and they have been trying to help me get a deeper latch which can help but she’s stubborn and we still have a shallow latch 😅 my letdown tends to be worse in the days after shes cluster fed then it will level off x

I have a fast let down and I found expressing for about 30 seconds-1 minute helped slow it down.
I also found opting for positions where gravity could help so lying on my side, koala hold- anything where my daughter was higher than my boob helped her with the choking☺️x

I try to use my elvie curve for a couple of mins pre feeding and that seems to help x

I use my electric pump for a few mins before a feed. Appreciate this isn’t always possible though.. I’ve experienced the same and I always feel so bad 😔 x
