Reduced movements

Normally I feel my baby move every hour to two hours but today her movements have been so subtle. I’ve just phoned triage and they said because I’m only 25+4 they still only listen with a Doppler rather than monitor movements. I said the fact that I can feel some movements surely means that I don’t need to come in unless they’re monitoring those movements. Anyway they said to give it an hour and see if she moves any more. I guess I’m just looking for some support x

Lay on your side and drink a cold drink ,

They should always have you come in to be checked regardless

I'm 26+6, have been feeling movements more subtly. I got told it's because they aren't just kicking now so before those movements were purely kicks whereas the smaller/more subtle movements are them turning over/elbows,knees etc. Which made sense to me. I will still get the occasional kick but most of the movement I have now is my son just like doing somersaults or something 🤣 As long as you're feeling something I'd try not to worry. However I'd defo go in if you are concerned x

Have a sugary drink or a bit of chocolate. That always gets my baby moving ☺️. Went through a panic last week as couldn’t remember feeling him for a while with my husband and I talking to the bump and still nothing so had a bit of Cadbury’s and within minutes he was kicking away again ☺️

Thank you ladies 💖

Hey, I would still go in because at least they can check that baby’s heart rate is normal for what it usually is! I hope everything’s ok 🥰

I’m 25+5 and was told by my midwife yesterday to call the hospital if I notice any changes to my baby’s movements going forward - she said the midwives know it’s likely that baby ends up moving just as you walk through the hospital door but it doesn’t matter - call and go in if you have any concerns. That made me feel better and that I wouldn’t be wasting anyone’s time! X

I ended up going to triage last night and again this morning x

How did you get on? Hope you’re ok! X

@Louise thank you, everything was ok, they said she was probably just in a position where I couldn’t feel her as much but did the right thing coming in x
