Nausea!

I am 6 weeks pregnant and so nauseous it’s really hard to manage, I’m not physically sick and it eases with food little and often but I can’t get to the point where I can actually make food!
Toast is one of the best that helps but making it makes me gag so bad when I make it 😂
Please tell me this eases off eventually cos it feels like the life is being sucked out of me right now!!

Oh bless you! It does ease for most eventually and that point differs for everyone. Stock up on snacks that help that don’t need preparing - crackers, crisps etc. I found mints and gum helped. I found this stage you’re in by far the hardest as it is miserable but it does pass, even though it feels like it never will. You’ve got this ❤️

It does for most people! I found mint tea and softmints were my saviour. I'd eat a mint when feeling sick and it would generally ease off. I didn't really have any aversion to the smell of food though so eating wasn't an issue.

Hang in there and congratulations!

I was really poorly first trimester and lost loads of weight as couldn’t eat or even really keep water down, if it gets worse defo get help from gp sooner rather than later there’s a few anti sickness meds u can try. Mine did get better at 14 weeks then went away weeks 20-28 and has come back a little now😂 but it does get better!!!

I used to gag at the smell of Lidl’s bakery but i absolutely loved it before 😂
It does get better, usually second trimester is better than the first.
But if it gets extremely bad where you’re also throwing up you should go to your GP x

Bless you! For me it eased at about 8 weeks but still have a bit here and there and I’m 12 weeks. I was completely off my food until maybe the last week or so. Stock up on things like biscuits or ritz biscuits etc. I found that really helped. Hopefully it will be a distant memory in no time x congratulations! X

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?
