Hello
I have low AMH and was just wondering if anyone knows whether having a few months breaks between full rounds of IVF or back to back rounds are better?
Recently had a failed round with one embryo and worried having a break is a bad idea.
Thank you

Hi.
I did back to back and only had about 3-4 month break in between ivfs and embryo transfer over 5 years.
I don’t think it would make a difference having a break and it would probably do you good to have a break mentally and physically as it can be so gruelling.
When I did ivf I was on progesterone injections, progesterone pessaries, oestrogen tablets,Q10 tablets, folic acid and pregnacare.
I still had many failed embryo transfers and miscarriages and my ivf was back to back only had a break because i was advised to after miscarriages.
So going back to back can still end like this.
I ended up doing a test nhs don’t cover it so you have to pay for it yourself £200 or £300 can’t remember how much it was either or but what it does is to see if you have a blood disorder that can cause miscarriages and failed embryo transfers.
After I had this test done I started on blood thinner injections I had one failed embryo transfer using them and the second time I had an embryo transfer on

Blood thinners I fell pregnant with twins and lost one but ended up with a baby.
I would highly recommend getting the test done if you have the money as k wish I did it sooner. x

Thank you so much for your reply. Who did you have the test with? I assumed the embryo transferred failed as the embryo was abnormal although highly graded.

I did it with my fertility clinic, care fertility.
