It didn't help me go into labour last time; I was induced and baby's head wasn't in the right position. I have still used it 2nd time round because I find it comfortable to sit on and the exercises help to relieve pressure. I'm 40+5 and still no sign of baby but been on my ball today because it's comfortable and is a more favourable position for getting baby into place so in my view, it can't hurt!!

It’s helped me no end with pain, some of the exercises like pelvic tilts I can feel a difference with baby going lower too. But doesn’t mean they stay there! 😂

Yoga/birthing balls are great for the whole of pregnancy. They help get baby in a good position, hips and back pain, sometimes can be comfier to just sit on and can help during labour. I started using mine at about 26 weeks with my first baby and been using it since about 25 weeks with my 2nd baby now. Im 37 weeks today x

I didn’t find it useful. It’s just sitting there taking up space now. I used it to stretch my back at the beginning, but that’s about it

I dunno about going into labour but mine has been a god send! I find it so uncomfortable to sit on the sofa now and I’m 38 weeks. I sit on it everyday and it helps with the pain

Definitely! I went to an active birth workshop where we practiced exercises on the ball and prepared our own ‘labour hopscotch’ for remaining active during labour and helping to position baby in the pelvis. It’s been a life saver!

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
