Bugaboo Donkey 5

Wondering what anyone thinks of this pram? Going to look at one second hand today.
I know everyone’s pram requirements soo different but asking anyway 🤣
We live in the city would just use for park walks/running errands. We also have bugaboo dragonfly and use baby carrier a lot so it wouldn’t be a main pram, more for times where both boys might nap/I need to get out for a park walk!

I had the Bugaboo Chameleon. Loved it. Was the one and only pram I needed for 4yrs. Wasn’t too heavy or bulky for me and I’m petite. The donkey…isn’t that a double? Or can be a double. That’s the one you can put a holder on the side? I found it a bit wide? Anyways, Bugaboo in general is a great brand but I’m in shops a lot so I wouldn’t get one as wide as a donkey but that’s me

We did have a buggy board on the back for any friends’ kids that wanna jump on.

I've got my hands on this pram second hand too! Have found it's a godsend for getting out for a walk and going to the shops.
It fits through all my internal doors with plenty of room and I can navigate the shops easily with it (even small stores)

My only observation is it doesn't fold down too small - we have a large boot on the car and it takes up all the space meaning we don't have any leftover space!😊

Three people I know of who’s had this buggy have complained about how heavy and bulky it is. They’ve struggled getting out and about with it and have sold theirs after a year of having it… which is why I was never convinced- even getting it second hand.

I have the ickle bubba Venus double and it’s a lot cheaper, light weight, and narrower than the donkey. I love it!

We had a bugaboo donkey, got it in October last year sold it last week. It’s a really good pram very sturdy but it’s absolutely huge we have a 2023 Kia sportage and it didn’t fit in our boot properly and it took up so much space in the house also did not fit through doors like people say and I get the bus and I couldn’t use it on the bus. I’ve now got a joie aire which folds flat and fits literally anywhere even the bus. I would’ve loved to of kept the donkey but it’s just too big xx

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Combi feeding advice

Has anyone gone from EBF to combi feeding? Currently do one bottle of EBM per night and they one half formula half breast milk mixed in the day. The other times she still feeds on me. Ideally I want to feed all day via bottle and all night with breast. She’s 7 weeks and takes a bottle well, how long should I leave it before adding another bottle to her daily routine?
