I just feel like I’m his mum too sometimes and like I carry the mental load of absolutely everything! Sometimes I genuinely wonder if I’d find it easier without him

Yes, I do feel like a lot falls on the mother and many things men cannot do. My husband is great and he tries to help as much as he can but things like buying new clothes, I cannot see him doing that. Like you mentioned the mental load can be a lot.
I also feel like society celebrated men a lot. They change a diaper or they cook and they get so much praise. Women do a million things plus more and it all seems normal to everyone.

Your not alone, since our second child came it’s definitely been challenging and our relationship stay tumbling. So many times we’ll argue so much that I eventually gave up and cool down maybe cause I’m 8 months postpartum now and I feel much better so our relaitinship got a whole lot better and we balance the kids out taking turns watching them. Just sit down and have a talk with him, it’ll get better!

Communication is SO important, as soon as you have something that’s nagging you or you’re feeling neglected tell him straight away. And ask him to do the same, then agree to both work on it. I definitely agree with resentment is awful and if you don’t deal with it it’ll only grow. It’s not healthy even for your physical health to hold on to negativity x

My husband is my equal. We share all responsibilities and always have done, he is a great partner and a great dad. I'm very lucky
