How often are your breastfed babies feeding? 👀

This is baby number 3 but I forget what’s normal...

My little man is CONSTANTLY on the breast. Every time I put him down for even a second he screams his head off so I can’t work out if it’s a contact thing or if he is just a milk monster. My nips are getting a little raw 🙈

How many weeks? In the first week I was exactly like this - then I started making baby uncomfortable when feeding like tickling him, slightly moving my breast so as to not let him fall asleep and make sure he’s sucking which eventually got him tired/ annoyed and pulled off

My 2.5 week old is pretty constant too. Screaming if he isn't on the boob. Nipples are razor blades and I'm absolutely exhausted 🫩

3 week old is the same - if he's not napping, he's constantly wanting to feed!

My 4 week old has been doing the same in the last 4 days, feeding or screaming all day with short naps in-between. I've resorted to giving expressed milk in a bottle one or twice a day just to have a break. He's luckily been sleeping well at night. Spoke to a midwife today and said I was worried about colics, but she said this is usually evening/night time, so keep feeding on demand. I also said I think he has reflux and she said try cutting out dairy. I'm giving him infacol and she said I need to persist to see if it works... all in all it sounds like cluster feeding mire than anything else, possibly with stomach gas, so they need extra comfort in my case. Good luck and hope your little gets better soon x

3 weeks atm 😬 it’s rare he falls asleep without having a good feed on both sides tbh so I’m not too worried about waking him during and just curious as to whether it’s a phase and my nips will get some rest soon or whether he’s just a hungry bubba

ugh it’s rough isn’t it. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone and yet it’s nice to know I’m not alone xx

thanks. Will he let you pop him down for a nap or is it all about the contact naps?

thank you 🙏🏻 I hope it gets better for you guys soon too xx

Almost 4 weeks here and my boy usually feeds every 1.5 to 2 hours, sometimes he'll be extra kind and I'll get a 3 hour break, sometimes he'll be extra fussy and want to feed more than I can produce. I usually do one breast, then wind, nappy, other breast if he wants it, wind again and then he's usually content enough for me to pop down in his basket. I absolutely get the frustration though! Sometimes I just really want a break, so we add in a formula feed for my sanity. Sometimes he drains me and then still wants more, absolutely insatiable... He definitely sleeps better and longer on me, but will go down in his basket with a bit of back and forth.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂
